In Europa, tali ecosistemi comprendono una gamma di ambienti acquatici altamente diversificati e diffusi, malgrado la forte riduzione nel loro numero (fino al 90%) e nella loro estensione, come è avvenuto in alcuni Paesi.

Checklist of the Water beetles of Switzerland. Part 2: Gyrinidae, Haliplidae, Paelobiidae, Sphaeriusidae. — An updated checklist of Gyrinidae, Haliplidae, Paelobiidae (= Hygrobiidae) and Sphaeriusidae (= Microsporidae) of Switzerland is given and briefly annotated. But for a few exceptions, the work is based on the identification of specimens by the author. Paelobiidae and Sphaeriusidae are each represented by a single species. After exclusion of misidentifications and highly unlikely or insufficiently documented data, 8 species of Gyrinidae and 16 species of Haliplidae are listed.

Il est indispensable de remplir complètement le premier cadre de la fiche pour chaque objet. Le numéro d’objet doit être reporté sur toutes les autres pages (précaution en vue de photocopies partielles). La nouvelle feuille est bipartite. La partie 1 permet de décrire le site de reproduction et le(s) plan(s) d’eau le composant.. La deuxième partie permet de noter les observations de batraciens. Les auteurs et les dates ne sont pas forcément les mêmes pour les deux parties. Toute remarque est bienvenue.
