A checklist of the Swiss species belonging to 14 families of the superfamily Tenebrionoidea is presented and briefly discussed. The work is mainly based on the identification of museum specimens and specimens held m private collections by the authors Two hundred thirteen species belonging to the families Aderidae. Anthicidae. Melandryidae, Meloidae, Mycetophagidae. Mycteridae. Prostomidae, Pyrochroidae. Pythidae. Ripiphoridae, Salpingidae, Tenebnonidae, Tetratomidae and Zopheridae are considered valid for Switzerland Anthelephilci pedestris (Rossi, 1790), Osphya bipunctata (Fabricius, 1775) and the extremely rare Bius thotacicits (Fabncius, 1792) are now confirmed based on new observations. Eighty-seven species were not included due to insufficient documentation, such as liteiature citations without verifiable specimens, erroneous determinations and problematic data (unlikely locality), or were considered imported.
